Black Bengals
Fascats Black Jack, he is the one pioneer for all the black Bengals. We are trying to get the Black bengal accepted  in ACFA for championship. By showing him and his brother Fascats Ed Gurrr, we are getting closer in our goals to have them in championship. The only cat registry that allows the black bengal to compete in champion class is UFO. Fascats Black Jack was the first bengal in the world to become a Diamond champion, that is the highest you can go in UFO. Fascats Ed gurr is now a Silver in UFO. So this shows the Black can compete with the traditional colors.
The Black bengal have been in the lines of ALL Bengals in the early days. the first breeding between the ALC (Asian Leopard Cat) was to a black domestic short hair, so that is where the black's came into our lines. Years ago they didn't want the black bengal, they only wanted the flashy spotted or marble browns, so they purged them from the lines. But they are a value to the bengal colors, they make the spotted darker and give them better body type. I really think if you would put the best spotted bengal and a black bengal in a box and let the judge touch and judge them the black will win hands down, they have better type, they are just not colored yet. We like to call them an unpainted barn!
I hope you enjoy the story of the black bengal and enjoy the pictures. thanks Fascats Cattery
